Xiaomi has introduced quite a few smartphones last year, and one of the latest ones to have been announced is the Redmi Note 3 mid-ranger. This smartphone is actually made out of metal, and sports a rather large 4,000mAh battery on the inside. The Redmi Note 3 was announced back in November, and Fonearena has decided to disassemble this handset on video in order to show us what’s inside and guide us through the procedure. Now, keep in mind that we’ve already shared the first Redmi Note 3 teardown which popped up in China, though it did not contain a video version.
If you take a look at the embedded video down below, you’ll get to see the full Redmi Note 3 teardown procedure performed by the source. Now, keep in mind that the Redmi Note 3 is a metal unibody handset, its battery is not removable. The teardown procedure doesn’t seem to be all that difficult, but it does require you to be precise and know how to separate glued parts inside the device. You’ll, for example, be required to heat up the glue holding battery and the body of the phone together in order to separate the two. That being said, all the components listed by Xiaomi are present and accounted for, including the aforementioned battery pack. In case you’d like to see the full video, take a look at the video down below.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, 2 / 3GB of RAM and 16 / 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by either MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) SoC, or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 processor (depending on the version you get), both of which are 64-bit octa-core units. The 13-megapixel shooter can be found on the back of the Redmi Note 3, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this handset with the company’s MIUI 7 OS on top of it, though the phone should get Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the coming weeks. The non-removable 4,000mAh unit is placed on the inside of this phone, and you also get fast charging here. The Redmi Note 3 measures 150 x 76 x 8.7mm, while it weighs 164 grams. That is more or less it, stay tuned for further Redmi Note 3 coverage, and more info on Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 5 flagship.
