Despite the fact that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are set to be launched this weekend on Sunday, the leaks have steadily kept on coming in during this past week. While there have been a handful of leaked shots that appear to out in the wild so to speak, it’s often the press renders that are often the best sort of leaks that appear ahead of an event. A few of these have appeared over the past couple of weeks, but today appears to be one of the bigger leaks surrounding the Galaxy S7 Edge, at least where quantity is concerned.
It seems as though the infamous leaker known by his Twitter handle of @OnLeaks has once again teamed up with UK comparison firm uSwitch to publish some more leaked renders of the Galaxy S7. There’s a good amount of these renders – all viewable from the gallery below – and for the most part they appear to echo what we’ve previously heard about the Galaxy S7 Edge. Larger at 5.5-inches, but rumored to have an excellent screen-to-body ratio, the Galaxy S7 Edge looks similar to last year’s option. Having said that, we can also see the curved edges that have been rumored to be on the rear of the device, as well as the reduced camera hump, too. One thing that’s a little more difficult to make out in this latest batch of leaks is whether or not the Galaxy S7 line of devices will be using microUSB as previously rumored.
It’s not too much longer before the Galaxy S7 will be launched officially in Barcelona come Sunday, but more leaks appear to finding their way out of the woodwork. This latest leak also mentions either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 and 4GB of RAM, corroborating previous reports. For now, it looks as if Samsung has nothing more than software to surprise us with during Mobile World Congress this weekend, but knowing Samsung we’re sure they have something special in store for us, and we’ll be ready and waiting with all the news this Sunday.
