Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are amongst the most anticipated smartphones this year. These two devices will be introduced during the company’s Unpacked event on February 21st, and we’ll be at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in order to see it all happen. Now, tons of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge rumors and leaks surfaced in the last couple of weeks, including a number of benchmark listings and unofficial renders of these two phones.
That being said, another rumor surfaced quite recently, and it regards the pricing of Samsung’s new flagships. Now, according to a new report, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will cost 700 and 800 Euro, respectively. Now, keep in mind that we’re talking about 32GB variants here, the models which include more internal storage will cost more, of course. This is also not the first time we’re hearing this pricing info, SamMobile actually reported something similar about a month ago. The 64GB variants will cost around 70-80 Euro more, probably, and the 128GB model will possibility also launch, but we don’t know how much will it cost. The Galaxy S7 phones will, allegedly, offer a microSD card expansion, so that should help in that regard, and the 32GB variant should be more than enough for most people. Speaking of availability, yesterday’s rumor said that both devices will be available for pre-order on the launch date (February 21st), and Samsung is reportedly going to start shipping out pre-ordered units on March 11th.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will, allegedly, sport 5.2 and 5.5-inch displays, respectively. The two devices will ship with 4GB of RAM on the inside, and will be made out of metal and glass, just like its predecessors. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 and Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoCs will fuel these devices, it is said that both the S7 and S7 Edge will come in both Snapdragon and Exynos variants, and their availability will be market-dependent. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it, of course. The 12.2-megapixel BRITECELL camera has been mentioned as Galaxy S7’s main shooter, though it’s possible Samsung will opt to use some other sensor on the inside, we’ll see.
