RUMOR: Samsung Galaxy Note 6 with 6GB of RAM, 12MP Camera

The Galaxy S7 hasn’t even been announced just yet, but There are already rumors of the Galaxy Note 6 which will be released in August/September. This time it comes from the micro-blogging site Weibo, and it turns out that the next Galaxy Note is going to feature a slightly larger display at 5.8-inches, but the more surprising news is the bump in RAM. Going to 6GB of RAM. That would be a jump from 4GB of RAM in the Galaxy Note 5 released in August of 2015. The device is also slated to sport a 12-megapixel camera, which is not a huge surprise as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are slated to have a 12-megapixel camera as well. They are likely sporting that Sony IMX377 sensor that the Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P sport – as well as the HTC One M10 rumors.

When it comes to the processor powering the device, the leaker states that there will be two processors for the Galaxy Note 6. Something we’re expecting with the Galaxy S7 later this month. It’ll likely be a Snapdragon and an Exynos processor, it could quite possibly be the Snapdragon 820 and the Exynos 8890 which are rumored for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. As far as storage goes, it appears that Samsung is doing 64GB and 128GB models here. Which would almost confirm that there won’t be a microSD card slot this time around. Something that many are hoping that the Galaxy S7 returns next week at their Unpacked event. So far there’s no word on the capacity of the battery. With the Galaxy S7 Edge getting a huge bump to 3600mAh, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the larger Galaxy Note 6 get a larger battery, perhaps over 4000mAh.

As always, it’s important to remember that this is a rumor, and not confirmed so it should be taken with a grain of salt. But perhaps more importantly, we are still around 6 months out from the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 6, which means Samsung is working with a few different prototypes ahead of release before they decide on the final model. This is quite typical for a smartphone company, working on a new flagship. Either way, it sounds like the Galaxy Note 6 is going to sport some massive specs later this year.
