The all new LG G5 is set to make an appearance to the public at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event that happens in the next couple of weeks, and over the last few days there have been a couple of instances where press render images of cases for the new flagship smartphone have surfaced on the web, showing what just might be the final design of the phone. Although the phone’s design has not yet been revealed by LG officially nor have they confirmed that the pictures of the phone in these images are of the final design, it’s likely that the cases from companies like VRS Design are manufactured based on schematics from LG.
Considering this, it almost suggests that the design of the phone is in its final state as VRS Design are now showing off more case renders of different offerings they’ll be selling for the LG G5 smartphone in addition to the ones they displayed last week, and just like in previous images, one of the most noticeable traits about the device is that it carries an all new rear camera design setup, as the cameras, flash, and what is likely the laser auto-focus sensor are all placed in a horizontal fashion rather than a vertical setup like on the LG G4 and LG G3 as well as other LG devices. Although VRS Design does not mention an actual date for when these cases will be available, they do state that they should be getting them in stock before the phone launches in March, which suggests that LG is looking for a quick turnaround for getting their flagship into consumer’s hands this year.
The case renders also reveal that the fingerprint sensor is in the same spot as last week’s images, as are the rest of the buttons like the volume keys as well as the audio and charging ports. On that note, LG is taking a slightly different approach this year with the LG G5 in regards to the volume buttons, as on previous flagships they were placed on the back along with the power button and under the camera. This year, the camera setup sits alone in its new orientation while the power button appears to have been moved and volume buttons have been moved back to the sides. The only thing that’s not visible is the power button, but it’s possible and also probable that LG has incorporated the power button into the same button that acts as a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device.
