Huawei was one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers last year, and the company will really have to push the limits this year in order to top that success. Huawei managed to become world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer in 2015, they’ve released tons of interesting phones, and they’ve also managed to put the pressure on Xiaomi in China. That being said, we’re still waiting for the company to release a high-end smartphone this year, and it seems like that will happen on April 6th, when Huawei intends to launch the Huawei P9 line of devices.
The company has already scheduled a press conference in London, and their teasers more or less already confirmed we’re looking at the Huawei P9 announcement, while the P9 Mini and P9 Max are probably going to be announced as well. We’ve seen tons of leaks and rumors regarding the Huawei P9 up to this point, and a fresh one surfaced in China not long ago. If you take a look at the images down below, you’ll get to see the alleged real life image of the Huawei P9 once again. Now, according to the source, the person holding the phone is actually Huawei’s president, Ren Zhengfei. That info seems to be true, but considering we can’t see the whole face of the person in the picture, we really cannot say who’s holding the phone. Anyhow, this design goes hand-in-hand with the leaked material we’ve seen thus far, you can see the two camera sensors on the back, while the Laser Autofocus and the dual LED flash are located next to those sensors. The fingerprint scanner is also present on the back of the phone, and the SIM card tray is located on the phone’s left-hand side. The phone is made out of metal, as expected, and it sports chamfered edges. Unfortunately, we do not get to see the front side of the device, but these two images actually reveal a lot on their own.
According to previous leaks, the Huawei P9 will feature a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The phone will be fueled either by the Kirin 950 or Kirin 955 SoC, while you can expect two 13-megapixel cameras to be included on the back of the device. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box, and on top of it, you’ll find Huawei’s very own Emotion UI (EMUI).
