Huawei’s event is now over, the company has introduced three new devices, the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus flagship smartphones, and the TalkBand B3 fitness trackers. The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus sports cutting-edge specifications, and design, they do kind of looks like a cross between the Nexus 6P and Huawei P8, which is not a bad thing. The two devices are made out of metal, and their design is identical, the size is different however.
Considering we were at the event, we got the chance to take a look at all those devices for ourselves, and we’re here to take a closer look at the Huawei P9. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see Huawei’s all-new flagship in its full glory. This metal-clad device sports two 12-megapixel snappers (Sony’s IMX286) on the back, which are backed by Leica’s imaging technology. Next to the cameras, you’ll notice the dual LED flash, and the laser autofocus. The fingerprint scanner is located on the back as well, along with Huawei’s logo which is located in the lower portion of the phone’s back. The company’s branding can also be found on the front side of the device, below the display, and you’ll also find an 8-megapixel shooter on the front side of this device. The phone also sports chamfered edges, and does resemble the Huawei P8 as far as the general shape is concerned.
The Huawei P9 features a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM, and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core processor, and it ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1 on top of it. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable. If you’d like to know more about its specs, click here. That being said, the Huawei P9 will become available on April 16th in 29 countries all over the globe, though U.S. is not one of them, we’re still waiting to hear more about U.S. availability.
