Meizu M3 Note Gets The Teardown Treatment

Meizu has introduced the company’s M3 Note mid-range handset on April 6th. The M3 Note is M2 Note’s direct successor, and yet another incredibly affordable device by the company. The M3 Note is the first handset from the ‘M Note’ series to sport a metallic body, in addition to which you also get a really solid set of specs on the inside, especially considering its price point. That being said, we’ve already checked out the hands-on coverage of this handset, and the phone’s first teardown surfaced online as well, read on.

If you take a look at the gallery below this article you’ll get to see quite a few teardown images, courtesy of IT168, a Chinese equivalent to iFixit. As far as the general teardown process goes, IT168 didn’t have any issues pulling apart this phone, though they don’t exactly hand out repairability scores like iFixit does. Nonetheless, it is worth nothing that the site did not find any irregularities inside of the M3 Note, everything is where it should be, all specs are present and accounted for. This is, however, the first ‘M Note’ handset made out of metal, and it is worth nothing that the phone’s general build resembles the company’s previous metallic devices, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well, which is not necessarily a bad thing, of course.

The Meizu M3 Note features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, just like its predecessor. This device comes with either 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone’s storage is expandable thanks to the microSD card slot, and the phone is fueled by the Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor by MediaTek. The 13-megapixel shooter (f/2.2 aperture) is available on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device, and the company’s Flyme 5.1 UI is available on top of it.

The Meizu M3 Note is an incredibly affordable phone in China, the device costs only 799 Yuan for the 2GB RAM variant, and 999 Yuan for the higher-end 3GB RAM model. Meizu offers Gray, White and Gold variants of this device, and the phone is expected to launch in India in the coming weeks.
