There’s always something going on in the world of Android whether its new device reveals or rumors that get people talking, and while there were no big phone reveals this past week there were some rumors about the next series of Nexus devices which is always big news in the Android community. Although Nexus devices typically launch in the Fall and more towards the end of the year, it’s never too early for rumors. This time around, the rumors state that HTC will be the next manufacturer of Google’s new Nexus, but just like last year there will be two devices instead of just one, and the rumored codenames are marlin and sailfish. The new Nexus, seemingly referred to as the second generation Google Nexus 6P, also showed up on geekbench with a few specs listed including a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, as well as Android N for the version software.
Also in the rumor department, this past week was a mention of Samsung’s next flagship device for the year, the Galaxy Note 6. According to the rumor, the Galaxy Note 6 will be sporting an IR autofocus instead of the method used on the previous device. Alongside the rumor leak about the new phone, images leaked of Samsung’s upcoming wearables which include the new Gear Fit and a set of truly wireless earbuds called the Gear IconX.
