Alleged Galaxy Note 7 Shows Its Face In Images & Video

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge flagship smartphones have been available for quite some time now. These two devices were announced back in February, and are amongst the most popular device out there in terms of sales. Samsung’s sales numbers have improved quite a bit thanks to these smartphones, and the Galaxy Note 7 (Samsung will allegedly ditch the Note 6 naming) might improve that even further. That being said, the Galaxy Note 7 surfaced earlier today, we initially thought that is the ‘Edge’ variant of the device due to its curved display, but it’s possible that’s the regular Galaxy Note 7, read on.

A new leak surfaced quite recently, once again courtesy of @OnLeaks (in partnership with uSwitch), the same source which shared the short teaser video with us earlier today. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see quite a few renders of the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 handset. @OnLeaks claims that this is the regular Galaxy Note 7, and that the Galaxy Note 7 Edge might not even arrive at all. There is also a video embedded down below which will show you these exact same images but in a video format basically. Now, let’s take a closer look at this phablet, shall we. The device resembles its Galaxy S7 siblings quite a bit, and yet, it’s recognizably different. The device looks quite sleek in these renders, and as you can see, the S Pen stylus is once again a part of this package, it is tucked away in the lower right portion of the device, on its bottom side. The loudspeaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack are in the same spot as they were in the Galaxy S7 devices, and in between them you’ll notice the Type-C USB port, which is something we didn’t see included in the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. The physical home button is located below the display, as always, and it will double as a fingerprint scanner. Samsung will once again use the combination of metal and glass in order to manufacture this device, which turned out to be a good thing in the past.

The source also said that the Galaxy Note 7’s display is somewhere between 5.7 and 5.8-inches big, and its dimensions are expected to be 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm, at least approximately. The Galaxy Note 7 will, reportedly, ship with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and Samsung might opt to release both the Snapdragon 823 and Exynos 8890 variants of this device, at least according to rumors. A recent report claimed that the device will launch in August, and the August 15th has been mentioned before, so… we’ll see. You can expect to see more rumors in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for those.
