Top10: Android News Stories – June 12th, 2016

This past week had some major reveals in the world of Android, technology, and the wireless industry, as Lenovo held their Tech World 2016 conference and unveiled a collection of new handsets and products. T-Mobile also held their Uncarrier 11 event at the beginning of the past week, which revealed that they were releasing a new application for customers which gives them free rewards every single Tuesday as well as a chance every week to win epic prizes.

Of course, the biggest news this past week was Lenovo’s Tech World 2016 conference, where the world’s first consumer-facing smartphone powered by Tango technology was announced, and is now known as the PHAB2 Pro, which is set to launch in the U.S. and other regions globally in September. Here in the U.S., the device will cost $499. Alongside the announcement for the PHAB2 Pro, Lenovo also announced two other smartphones in the PHAB2 line, which were the PHAB2 and the PHAB2 Plus. They also had Motorola announce a couple of new phones, which are the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force, both of which have Verizon exclusive models as the DROID Editions. In addition to the Moto Z announcements were the new Moto Mod accessories as well which are snap on modular cases which can be affixed to the back of the phones to augment their functionality with new features.
