Last week, T-Mobile announced that they were holding their Un-carrier 11 event today at 1PM ET/10AM PT. There’s been plenty of rumors surrounding this event, which all appear to state that T-Mobile is looking to give their customers shares of the company, as well as providing a ton of other freebies. They are supposedly going to be launching an app called “T-Mobile Tuesdays” where customers are able to get freebies each week. Rumors have said that they are doing this in partnership with Domino’s, Wendy’s and a few other companies. T-Mobile has always given out quite a few things to their customers with these Un-carrier moves, including giving customers the ability to listen to as much music as they want with Music Freedom, and watch loads of video with Binge On. Not to mention the ability to roam in other countries without having to pay a dime. As well as Data Stash allowing you to roll-over your data, which T-Mobile also gave everyone 10GB of free data. These Un-carrier moves have been aimed at solving customer pain points, and many of them have been solved already. And by the looks of things, this Un-carrier move appears to be more of a customer appreciation thing rather than eliminating another customer pain point. Either way, customers are sure to love what Legere and his team has to announce at today’s event.
T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere will be taking to the stage at 1pm today to announce what Un-carrier 11 is all about. T-Mobile hasn’t given us much in terms of hints for this event. With the invitations just stating “We’re turning it up to Eleven”, and that’s really it. Although the teaser videos have also shown Legere training for this event, with all sorts of puns about Verizon and AT&T included.
You can watch the livestream of the event, which is expected to be about 30-45 minutes long, down below. It’s going to be a pretty exciting time for T-Mobile customers. You’re bound to see plenty of cursing, as well as Red Bulls during the event, as Legere is known for both. Especially when talking about his competitors.
