These days, smartphones are used for many things from taking pictures to streaming video and listening to streaming music. For many individuals who happen to be smartphone owners, their mobile device serves as the hub for plenty of activities that they may have otherwise used multiple products for. The smartphone has made many things easier with its ability to serve many purposes in one single device, and streaming music is one of the bigger functions. While it may not matter to all users, good sound quality on a smartphone is something that many do look for in a device especially if it’s meant to be used for playing music consistently.
ASUS, in partnership with DTS Inc., have set out to deliver high quality audio through their mobile devices, one of which is the recently released ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra that is powered by DTS Headphone:X Audio technology. DTS Inc. and ASUS have also announced that various other ASUS devices will be on their way to market which have the same audio technology built-in. In addition to this device, ASUS and DTS Inc. also mention that the recently announced ZenPad Z8, which was announced back in the middle of June and is exclusive to Verizon Wireless, also carries the DTS Headphone:X Audio.
Aside from these two devices, ASUS and DTS have plans to integrate the Headphone:X Audio technology into various other devices, highlighting that in the weeks ahead they plan to release multiple ZenPad tablets that will have the audio onboard so as to deliver a high quality sound experience. With this audio technology included, devices such as the ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra can deliver Headphone:X 7.1 surround sound for a more immersive experience, which ultimately should make anything where the sound comes into play more enjoyable. It’s also worth mentioning that the ZenFone 3 Ultra is the first smartphone to offer 7.1 surround sound. Having said that, Headphone:X is designed to be used with a pair of connected headphones or earbuds, so users will need to have a pair either connected or plugged in to take advantage of it. ASUS is also not the only company incorporating DTS Audio technology in their devices, as DTS notes that they are also working with companies like Huawei, Gionee, Haier, Nubia and ZTE, and Acer, among others.
