LeEco’s next flagship devices, the Le 2s and Le 2s Pro, have been a staple of the rumor mill for the past few weeks, and for good reason. One device is supposed to be a budget flagship of sorts, with strong specs where it matters, including 4GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or 821 processor paired up with a 1920 x 1080 display. The other one is rumored to be more premium, boasting the potential for absolute multitasking overkill in the form of 8GB of RAM. The CPU-Z sheet and AnTuTu benchmark results for the former have found their way onto Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, along with two photos showing off one of the two, presumably the lower-end one.
The photos show a body not unlike LeEco’s previous flagships; a slightly HTC-inspired, metal unibody affair that’s just a little on the thick side and boasts a rear fingerprint sensor opposite the LeEco logo, along with a camera and flash at the top left, above the antenna line. Unfortunately, the photos only show off the back and one side of the device, where what looks to be a textured power button and volume rocker reside. According to the data sheets, we are looking at a device with a 5.46 inch screen of the 1920 x 1080 persuasion, which looks to be about the only spec on the sheet that dips below flagship level. The device sports 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The whole thing is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, putting the package almost on par with 2016 flagships like the HTC 10 and Samsung Galaxy S7, aside from the middling screen resolution.
The model number listed for this device is LeX720, though there’s no real hint as to the status of the rumored higher-end model or what we may see in it here, leaving us to go off of previous rumors that point to 8GB of RAM for now. If everything we are seeing here is finalized, the device may be quite close to releasing, though nothing has been said in any official capacity about when the phone will drop, as of now. The same can obviously be said of the rumored higher-end model, which has yet to break cover in quite as prominent a fashion as this one has.
