Huawei has been one of the most active smartphone manufacturers this year, and the same can be said for Honor, Huawei’s subsidy. Huawei had introduced quite a few smartphones this year, including the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus flagships, and the recently-announced Huawei Nova devices. Honor, on the other hand, introduced the Honor 5c, Honor V8, Honor 5A, Honor 8 and Honor Note 8. Now, the most popular Honor-branded device this year is definitely the Honor 8, a really sleek-looking handset which comes with a very reasonable price tag. That being said, we’re still waiting for the company to introduce a successor to the Honor 5X, one of their best-selling smartphones last year. It seems like we won’t have to wait for long, though, as the company has just announced the Honor 6X press conference, read on.
It seems like the company has started sending out invites for their October 18th press conference during which they’ll introduce the Honor 6X. This press conference will be held in China, as you can see from the provided image, and the company still didn’t share any info on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, but they’re expected to do that soon. Now, the Honor 6X was certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, so we basically know not only how this device will look like, but what specs will it sport as well. Now, according to TENAA, the Honor 6X will ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone will be fueled by the Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core processor, which is the same chip Huawei had included in the Huawei Mate 8. Two 12-megapixel cameras will be placed on the back of this phone, and a single 2-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The 3,340mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and the device will be made out of metal.
If you’re interested to see what will this phone look like, take a look at the gallery down below where you’ll be able to find some images of this phone which TENAA shared last month. Now, this smartphone will probably be extremely affordable, it is rumored to cost around $200, which is a great price tag for such a phone.
