Press renders have shown up for the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 2017 models online today, further solidifying what is likely the finalized design for the latest iteration of two of the phones in Samsung’s Galaxy A series. It is worth noting that these aren’t the first time the renders that look exactly like this have leaked, as they previously showed up yesterday. With that said, two leaks in two days with the same design for each phone does heavily suggest that this is what consumers can look forward to when the phones launch, which according to a recent rumor from last week will be in early to mid January.
In addition to today’s and yesterday’s renders that match up on the design of the phone, the colors, save for the pink model which isn’t pictured in any of these leaked renders from today, all match up as well which means there will be at least a few different color choices for consumers to decide on. Although there is no exact date in January for the launch or the official announcements for these devices, the Galaxy A3 at least has been Wi-Fi certified and certified by the FCC which points to a nearby release.
The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are set up to be fairly similar when it comes to most of the specifications and hardware, although they are going to have different sized displays and the other specs will be slightly varied. They’re both rumored to use Samsung’s own Super AMOLED panels, with a 4.7-inch HD screen on the Galaxy A3 and a 5.2-inch Full HD screen on the Galaxy A5. They will use Exynos processors according to the rumors, with a 7870 in the Galaxy A3, while the Galaxy A5 will step things up to a 7880. The cameras are also slightly different, and the Galaxy A5 is set to be the more capable of the two as it should feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and rear-facing camera, while the Galaxy A3 will be a little bit more modest with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video chat. While nothing is officially confirmed just yet, the leaks and rumors are starting to provide a complete picture.
