The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 is now available for pre-order. The company’s semi-luxury smartphone was announced back in November, and it is now available for pre-order for €1,395. This is a hefty price tag, but we already knew how expensive will it be once it becomes available. The Porsche Design Mate 9 is Huawei’s most expensive smartphone at the moment, and chances are it will remain that way for quite some time now, the upcoming Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones will be considerably more affordable, half of Porsche Design Mate 9’s price, quite probably.
According to the company, the device will start shipping on January 31st, and you can pre-order a unit for yourself if you’re interested. You can do so via the official ‘Porsche Design’ website, simply follow the source link down below. This smartphone was made in collaboration with Porsche Design, which is a part of the reason why it’s so expensive, that’s for sure. The Porsche Design Mate 9 is a really sleek-looking smartphone, no doubt about that, it is made out of metal, and it features a curved display on the sides. This phone is essentially a luxury variant of the Huawei Mate 9 Pro which was introduced in China last year. The Porsche Design Mate 9 is also quite a powerful smartphone, as it comes with top of the line internals. This smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) curved AMOLED display, along with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable internal storage. The Porsche Design Mate 9 is fueled by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, and it comes with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.
On the back of this smartphone, you’ll be able to find a dual camera setup, 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel shooters are placed on the back of the phone, and an 8-megapixel camera is available on its front side. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Porsche Design Mate 9, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin. The device comes with fast charging, and you’re also getting a set of stereo speakers here, in case you were wondering.
