LG has just filed for some additional ‘G6’ trademarks in Korea. The company has filed for four additional trademarks, to be exact, the G6 One, G6 C, G6 L and G6 M. Needless to say, the last three names don’t really reveal all that much, but it is possible we’re looking at the LG G6 Compact, LG G6 Lite and LG G6 Mini here, though that’s only an educated guess at this point, nothing has been confirmed, we don’t even know if LG intends on using all of these trademarks or not.
As most of you probably already know, these are not the first ‘G6’ trademarks LG filed for, the company actually did the same for the G6 Compact, G6 Lite, G6 Hybrid, G6 Prix, G6 Forte, G6 Young, G6 Sense and G6 Fit about a week ago. So, based on such info, it seems like LG plans to release quite a few ‘G6’ devices this year, ranging from smartphones to other smart gadgets. The LG G6 Mini will probably be a smaller variant of the LG G6 (presuming that the ‘G6 M’ stands for ‘G6 Mini’), and chances are it will be inferior to the LG G6 flagship, as it’s usually the case with ‘Mini’ models smartphone manufacturers release. The LG G6 C could represent the LG G6 Compact, which could also be a smaller LG G6, though no additional info is available at the moment. Same goes for every other ‘G6’ trademark LG filed for, but chances are rumors and leaks will start popping up in the near future and offer us more info about each of those trademarks, or at least the vast majority of them, so stay tuned for that.
The LG G6 will be announced on February 26th, LG had confirmed that a couple of days ago. Now, we’ve seen tons of rumors and leaks regarding LG’s upcoming flagship, and it seems like it will be considerably different than the LG G5. You will not get a semi-modular smartphone this time around, though the phone looks really nice in some recently leaked images. The LG G6 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC, at least based on recent rumors, as it seems Samsung picked up the whole initial batch of Snapdragon 835 SoCs, so LG and other OEMs will not be able to utilize Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC as soon as they’d hoped.
