Fossil Partners With Celebrities To Promote Smartwatches

Fossil has partnered with a number of celebrities to promote smartwatches in a new campaign called Fossil Firsts, in which they ask celebrities about a series of first times ranging from their first date to their first job. Of course, the whole campaign begins by asking what their first Fossil watch was, which seems fitting given that the interviews are being done by Fossil and this is after all, a campaign to promote Fossil’s line of new hybrid and touchscreen smartwatches.

The campaign has so far worked with four different celebrities two of which are meant to represent the generation of people who grew up with Fossil when smartwatches weren’t a thing, while the other two are meant to represent the generation of people who are able to experience their First Fossil with the new, and more tech savvy lineup. The stars include Kristen Bell, Leslie Odom Jr., Yara Shahidi, and Austin Mahone, all four of which already seem to have been asked the same questions as part of the campaign, though the YouTube video promotion of the campaign only seems to have been done for Kristen Bell so far. There’s no word on whether or not Fossil plans to put out more videos for Fossil Firsts or if they’ll work with more celebrities beyond the initial four, but they do mention that the campaign itself will continue throughout 2017 to feature all of Fossil’s newest smartwatches.

The four watches that Fossil will be promoting during this campaign will be the Q Accomplice, the Q Activist, the Q Venture, and the Q Explorist. This rounds out Fossil’s 2017 summer and fall lineup in regards to both the hybrid and touchscreen smartwatches that consumers can expect to get their hands on later this year. Fossil will be releasing the hybrid watches in the Summer, and the touchscreen smartwatches will see a release a little bit later, as Fossil states these are to be launched through the Fall and Holiday seasons. Both the video for the Fossil Firsts campaign and the images promoting it can be seen below, and it’s likely that Fossil will do more to promote the campaign throughout the year in some way or another.
