Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 flagship phablet is not scheduled to arrive for another couple of months, and DBS DESIGNING YouTube channel has decided to keep us entertained while we’re waiting, as they’ve just released a concept video for Samsung’s upcoming smartphone. The device that is shown off in the embedded video down below is purely fictional, as is the case with most such concept designs that are floating around. That being said, this is one sleek-looking phone, read on.
As you can see, this device sports really thin bezels above and below the display, while it doesn’t sport any bezel on the sides. Its display corners are curved, similar to the ones on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung’s logo is placed below the display, and for some reason the power / lock, volume up and volume down keys are placed on the left-hand side of this handset. This handset is made out of metal and glass, and its fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of the device, but it is positioned far better than the sensor on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. This Galaxy Note 8 concept comes with a dual camera setup on the back, and those two cameras are protruding on the back a bit. Now, along with the design of the device, the source also shared some fictional specs of this phone.
The Galaxy Note 8 concept is water resistant, while it comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ display. This handset sports 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage. A Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of the device, and the phone’s loudspeaker can also be found down there. A 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel snappers are placed on the back of the phone, and a 4,000mAh battery is also included in this package, while it comes with fast charging. Iris scanner makes a comeback, and Android 8.0 comes out of the box. Once again, this is just a fictional smartphone which comes with fictional specs, but it’s always nice to check out such sleek-looking phones, even though they’ll never become real. The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to launch in August, so stay tuned for that.
