Gionee S10 Plus Gets Certified, Sports A 5.5-Inch Display

Following the Gionee S10’s TENAA certification, the Gionee S10 Plus also got certified in China. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see this handset in the flesh, and it looks basically identical to the Gionee S10, except for the fact it is a larger handset. Now, these two phones share a lot of their specs, though the Gionee S10 Plus comes with a larger display and battery, as a result of its size, of course.

The Gionee S10 Plus is made out of metal, and it sports a front-facing fingerprint scanner which will double as a home button as well. This handset sports Gionee’s branding on the back, and above it, you’ll notice a dual camera setup. Speaking of which, these are two 13-megapixel snappers, and a single 16-megapixel unit is located on the front side of this smartphone. The Gionee S10 Plus sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The device is fueled by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, but we still don’t know what chip is this exactly, even though it’s almost certainly one of MediaTek’s mid-range processors. A 3,700mAh battery is also included in this package, and it is not removable. The Gionee S10 Plus will become available in Gold and Black color variants, according to TENAA, and the phone will ship with support for 4G LTE, of course. The Gionee S10 Plus measures 154.5 x 76 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 176.6 grams.

That is more or less all the info that we have about this smartphone at the moment. The Gionee S10 Plus will probably launch along its smaller brother, the Gionee S10, and considering that both phones have been certified in China already, you can expect them to launch in the coming weeks, though we still do not know when exactly will that happen. In any case, stay tuned, we’ll make sure to let you know as soon as these two phones land, and chances are that we’ll see more leaks before that happens.
