The Rick and Morty VR game hits the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift on April 20th for any loyal fans who have been waiting to get their hands on the upcoming title from Owlchemy Labs. Officially known as Rick And Morty Virtual Rick-Ality the game is based on the hit Adult Swim show Rick And Morty, and puts players in control of some of the show’s cast of characters, and even introduces them to a similar level of craziness that can be found in the show itself.
The game was officially announced in the Summer of last year and is essentially like Job Simulator which was also developed by Owlchemy Labs. Rick And Morty Virtual Rick-Ality is already listed on Steam and on the Oculus Store for those who are planning to pick it up for their respective headsets, though at the moment there is no pricing information listed on either page nor are there any pre-order buttons, so those who are interested in grabbing it will probably have to wait until the 20th before the price is actually listed. That being said the game is reportedly going to cost $30 once it drops, though diehard Rick And Morty fans probably wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for a taste of what is essentially allowing them to live out fantasies from one of their favorite shows.
While the game probably won’t be coming to anything other than these two platforms, customers who are fans of the show but don’t own one of the two compatible headsets would surely appreciate if it came to more affordable and thus more attainable platforms like the Gear VR and the Daydream View headsets, though some changes would probably have to be made to account for their only being one usable controller on both of those headsets, whereas the Rift and Vive both have two controllers for use with this game. If you’re not quite sold on Rick And Morty Virtual Rick-Ality and are reluctant to part with a few ten dollar bills, the game will allow you to have all sorts of fun from hopping through portals to even smacking Rick in the face.
