Urbanears Active 'Stadion' Bluetooth Headset Announced

Audio equipment maker Urbanears announced the Stadion, its latest addition to the Urbanears Active product lineup. The Bluetooth-enabled headset is said to be designed for all types of consumers, though the Stockholm, Sweden-based company says that it especially excels during workouts due to its unique shape that allows it to defy gravity and stay firmly on your head even when you’re exercising at a maximum intensity. A number of easily stretchable materials and the implementation of the so-called EarClick technology allow the Stadion to be adjusted to any particular head shape, Urbanears claims.

In its official announcement published on Tuesday, the Swedish earphone maker didn’t disclose the exact battery capacity of the Stadion, though the company did say that the new member of the Urbanears Active family can ensure up to seven hours of music playback on a single charge. The back side of the device that rests on a user’s neck features three physical buttons that can be used for controlling the volume of your music and switching between individual tracks. The entire device is said to be so compact and lightweight that a user can easily forget they’re wearing it, but still doesn’t have to fear about losing it due to the aforementioned EarClick solution. Urbanears’ co-founder Oscar Axhede said that the Stadion was designed as the ultimate wireless headset that offers premium sound quality while simultaneously being as comfortable as possible. The company’s latest Bluetooth headset is completely resistant to sweat and can be easily cleaned, just like all other members of the Urbanears Active lineup. Finally, the Stadion is equipped with several reflective elements that make its users more visible at night as a safety precaution, the Swedish company revealed.

The Stadion is now available for purchase directly from Urbanears’ official website and will soon be sold by several third-party retailers. The Bluetooth headset is available in Black Belt, Team, Rush, and Trail, and all variants of the device are priced at $99/€99/£79. There’s currently no information on whether Urbanears’ latest product will be available in more colors in the future, but more details on the matter might follow later this year.
