The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to launch in April, and the phone’s retail packaging just surfaced. Now, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see two images. Each of those images is showing off the Xiaomi Mi 6 packaging, though the specs on those boxes are not identical, which leads us to believe we’re looking at retail packaging of both the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro (or whatever the company plans to call the more powerful variant of the device), as both of those variants were heavily rumored and leaked in the last couple of weeks.
Now, if you take a look at the first image down below, you’ll get to see a white box which seemingly belongs to the Xiaomi Mi 6, a smaller of the two Mi 6 smartphones. Now, if the info on the back of this box is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will pack in a 3,200mAh battery, and 3GB of RAM on the inside. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor is also listed on this box, and so is a 12-megapixel rear-facing snapper. A 4-megapixel Ultra Pixel camera is listed as the Xiaomi Mi 6’s front-facing shooter, and the packaging also reveals that the phone will offer support for 4G LTE, and that its display will ship with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Now, the second image probably shows off the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro packaging. This box reveals that the phone will sport a 5.15-inch display, as rumors suggested, and the Snapdragon 835 SoC is listed on this box as well, along with its clock speed (2.45GHz). This smartphone will sport 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, while a 30-megapixel OIS camera will be placed on its back. Very few people are expecting the Xiaomi Mi 6 to sport a 30-megapixel camera, but there you have it, if the leaked info is accurate… it will sport such a camera. In any case, the box also says that an 8-megapixel selfie shooter will be implemented on the front side of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro, and that the device will ship with a 4,000mAh battery on the inside.
So, when will the Xiaomi Mi 6 launch? Well, April 11, April 16 and April 18 have all been rumored as the Xiaomi Mi 6 launch dates, so we’re expecting Xiaomi to introduce their all-new flagship next month. In addition to the leaked specs we’ve already talked about, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to ship with Android Nougat out of the box, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS on top of it.
