New HTC U 11 Teaser Shows Off A Part Of The Phone's Body

HTC has just released yet another teaser for their upcoming HTC U 11 smartphone. The company had recently confirmed that the phone will be called the HTC U 11, and that it will be announced on May 16. HTC also released a teaser which pretty much confirmed that the phone’s sides will be interactive, squeezable. So, it seems like you’ll be able to squeeze its sides in order to make the phone perform particular actions that have been pre-set in the settings. Force touch bezels? Well, we’ll see what HTC announces on May 16, but it surely seems like it.

In any case, this new teaser does not exactly reveal all that much info about the phone, but we do get to take a look at the device’s back side, well, a part of its back side, and it seems like the phone is made out of metal. Previous HTC U 11 leaks suggested that the phone might be made out of metal and glass, like the HTC U Ultra, but this teaser suggests otherwise, unless the lighting is completely off, and it managed to trick us, which is possible. In any case, the company’s branding is placed on the back of the device, and it easily visible in the provided teaser clip. The back side of the HTC U 11 will be slightly curved on the sides, but unfortunately, we don’t get to see the front side of the phone. HTC has released this teaser video with a ‘BrilliantU’ hashtag, and ‘Squeeze for the Brilliant U’ caption.

Now, if leaked info is anything to go by, this smartphone will be quite powerful. The HTC U 11 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 6GB of RAM. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, and it will pack in a 3,000mAh battery, while Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 will also be included. A 12-megapixel shooter (f/1.7 aperture) will be placed on the back of this phone, and a 16-megapixel shooter will be available on the phone’s front side. HTC’s BoomSound audio is making a comeback here, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat will be pre-installed on the phone along with the company’s custom UI.
