The OPPO R11 has now been officially confirmed, having been listed by the company’s official retail partner OPPO Shop. The newly uncovered listing of the smartphone shows the very same renders of the device that were leaked just last week, confirming that the latest OPPO handset will be available in three color variants called Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. The OPPO R11 is set to be available for purchase in the company’s home country of China as of this Saturday, June 10. The new listing of the device still doesn’t provide any information regarding its price tag, though the pricing of its predecessor and recent rumors indicate that the OPPO R11 will retail for under $500.
As expected, the device sports a metal case with rounded corners and regularly sized bezels, as well as a dual camera setup comprised of two horizontally arranged sensors and a dual LED, dual tone flash unit situated in the top-left corner of its rear plate. The main sensors of the OPPO R11 are of the 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel variety, while the top bezel of the handset also sports a 20-megapixel camera that isn’t accompanied by a flash after all, contrary to some previous reports about the device. The OPPO R11 boasts a 5.5-inch AMOLED display panel with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and is powered by the Snapdragon 660, Qualcomm’s latest mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) that was just announced earlier this year. As the new piece of silicon is said to be significantly more conservative than its predecessor, the device ships with a 2,900mAh non-removable battery that should still ensure around a day of use, depending on one’s habits. The OPPO R11 is also equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash memory, in addition to shipping with Android 7.1 Nougat and the company’s proprietary Color OS.
It’s currently unclear whether the Dongguan, China-based original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has plans to officially release the OPPO R11 outside of the Far Eastern country, though the device will likely be available online through resellers. An update on the global availability and pricing of the OPPO R11 should follow soon.
