Upcoming OPPO R11 To Sport 'VOOC Super Flash Charge'

OPPO had already confirmed that the OPPO R11 will be announced on June 10, and the company has just released a new charging-related teaser on its official Weibo (Chinese social network) page. It seems like the OPPO R11 will ship with VOOC Super Flash Charge, which is OPPO’s proprietary charging technology, and it’s extremely fast. VOOC Super Flash Charge was announced back in February last year, and it can charge up a smartphone from 0 to 100 percent in only 15 minutes, these numbers are based on smartphones that ship with 2,500mAh battery, so it should take a bit longer to get a 3,000mAh phone from 0 to 100 percent, but still… that’s really, really fast.

Now, OPPO did share some numbers along with this teaser, the company says that charging the OPPO R11 for 5 minutes will provide you with 2 hours of talk time on the device before the battery dies, which is quite impressive. It’s worth noting that the OPPO R11 will ship with a 3,000mAh battery, in case you did not know that. Having said that, OPPO had already released a lot of promo images and videos for the OPPO R11, and we basically already know what will the device look like and what specs will it sport. The OPPO R11 will be made out of metal, and it will ship with a dual camera setup on the back. A fingerprint scanner will be located below the phone’s display, and the company will almost certainly launch the ‘OPPO R11 Plus’ along with the regular model on June 10.

The OPPO R11 will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor, and will pack in a 3,000mAh battery on the inside. 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors will be located on the back of the OPPO R11 it seems, and a single 16-megapixel shooter will be available on the front side of the device. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the OPPO R11, if TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) is to be believed, and on top of it, you’ll get OPPO’s custom UI, Color OS. A microUSB 2.0 port will be placed on the bottom of the OPPO R11 it seems, so a Type-C USB port will not be included it seems, which seems like a rather odd choice by OPPO, but there you have it.
