OUKITEL Will Sport A 6,300mAh Battery, Promo Video Released

A couple of days ago, we wrote about the OUKITEL K6, the company’s upcoming smartphone, and OUKITEL has just released a new promo video for this handset. We already knew that the OUKITEL K6 will come with a large battery, but we did not know that by ‘large’ OUKITEL meant a 6,300mAh battery pack. That is confirmed now, as is the fact that the phone will offer 5V/3A fast charging. Having said that, let’s talk more about the video that OUKITEL just published.

In this video, OUKITEL pitted the OUKITEL K6 next to the iPhone X in order to compare the battery life of the two devices. This may not be the best comparison, as the iPhone X comes with a 2,716mAh battery, which is less than half the capacity OUKITEL K6 owns. In any case, after one hour of music playtime with the display powered on, the OUKITEL K6 was left with 97 percent of battery left, while the iPhone X stood at 73 percent. After an hour of WeChat voice calling with a turned on display, the OUKITEL was left with 90 percent of battery, while the iPhone X’s battery level fell down to 63 percent. The third test that OUKITEL conducted, includes video recording, you guessed it, for one hour. After that hour passed, the OUKITEL K6 still had over 80 percent of battery life, it stood at 81 percent, while the iPhone X dropped all the way down to 36 percent. The fourth, and final test, includes watching a movie in a fullHD format until one of the two phones turns off. After 1 hour and 16 minutes of movie playtime (5 hours and 16 minutes overall), the iPhone X powered off, while the OUKITEL K6 still had 65 percent of battery left.

The OUKITEL K6 is clearly a road warrior when it comes to battery life, and even though this may not be the fairest comparison out there, OUKITEL simply wanted to prove how powerful this phone is in terms of battery life. Now, in addition to the specs we’ve already mentioned, the OUKITEL K6 sports a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, and it will ship with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. This smartphone will be fueled by the MediaTek’s Helio P23 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it will pack in 6GB of RAM. The device will go on sale later this month, stay tuned.
