Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 SE & Mi Band 3 Surface Ahead Of Launch

The Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi Band 3 have just surfaced, prior to their announcement which is set to take place tomorrow. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will see renders of the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and the Mi Band 3, while two real-life images of the Xiaomi Mi 8 are also available down there. That being said, these leaks are in line with the info that surfaced recently, so chances are that this info is accurate.

Let’s kick things off with the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE, shall we. For those of you who do not know, the Mi 8 SE is rumored to be a smaller variant of the Mi 8, which will also be inferior to the Mi 8 in terms of specs. If you check out the two devices side by side, you will notice that the Mi 8 is taller, and a bit wider, while its corners are more rounded than the ones on the Mi 8 SE. Both devices sport thin “chins” below their respective displays, while physical keys are located on the right side of both devices. Unfortunately, we do not get to see the back side of either device here, but chances are that both of them will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and perhaps even a fingerprint scanner, at least if previous leaks are to be believed. 3D facial scanning will probably be included in both phones, at least based on the side of their notches, even though the notch on the Mi 8 is larger, so that may indicate that the Mi 8 will be the only phone to get such functionality, well see. The Xiaomi Mi 8 will sport 6GB / 8GB of RAM, and it will ship with the Snapdragon 845 SoC, and wireless charging. The Mi 8 SE, on the other hand, is rumored to be fueled by the Snapdragon 710 SoC, and ship with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the variant. The provided image actually claims that the Mi 8 sale in China will commence on June 5, while the Mi 8 SE will become available three days after that, on June 8.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 image suggests that a capacitive button will be available on the device, after all, and its display will once again be black and white it seems. The device will be more rounded than its predecessor, and this is a glossy black variant of the Mi Band 3 that we’re looking at here. In addition to these three devices, Xiaomi will also introduce a new version of its Android skin during tomorrow’s press conference, MIUI 10, and that UI also leaked yesterday, in case you’re interested.
