The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is easily one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2018, and some more info regarding that handset surfaced online. As most of you know by now, Samsung already confirmed that the device will be announced on August 9 in New York, and now South Korean media suggest that it will become available for purchase two weeks after that, on August 24, at least in Korea. Insiders say that Samsung wants to get a head start on Apple’s 2018 iPhones which will probably arrive in mid-September.
In addition to that, the Galaxy Note 9 has also appeared on TENAA, it seems, China’s equivalent to the FCC. The Galaxy Note 9 version that surfaced on TENAA is actually a dual SIM model, as expected, and it supports TD-LTE, FD/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA/cdma2000/ CDMA 1X/GSM networks. On top of all that, some of the phone’s specs have surfaced as well, and if rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy Note 9 will sport a 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, while it will arrive in both Exynos and Snapdragon variants. The Exynos 9810 will fuel the phone in Europe and some other regions, while the Snapdragon 845 will be included in a variant for the US and some other parts of the world. It will sport the same dual camera setup as the Galaxy S9 Plus, but its low light shooting will be boosted, rumors say, while the phone will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, at least for the base model. On top of all that, a 4,000mAh battery has been mentioned, and an S Pen will be included as well.
That being said, we’ve recently shared an exclusive render of the Galaxy Note 9, which more or less confirms that the phone will sport a similar design to its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy Note 9 will sport some bezel above and below the display, but its bezels will not be thick, not at all. The phone’s display will be slightly curved, and the S Pen stylus will once again be holstered on the inside of the device.
