The Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ is still a few weeks away from becoming official, but that’s not stopping the rumor mill.
Full specifications for both variants have popped up, and are making it pretty interesting, ahead of Unpacked on August 7.
Starting with the Galaxy Note10, it’s going to sport a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, the Snapdragon 855+ or Exynos 9825 (depending on region), with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’ll have three cameras, 12-megapixel main, 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and then a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens. This is going to be powered by a 3500mAh capacity battery and weigh in at about 168g.
The Galaxy Note10+ is pretty similar, with a few exceptions. It’ll have a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ display – that’s larger than the Galaxy S10 5G and makes it the largest Galaxy Note display ever. It ups the RAM to 12GB, and sticks with 256GB of storage. The camera layout is the same, but it does add a Time of Flight sensor too. And we’re looking at a larger 4300mAh capacity battery. This one will weigh in at about 198g.
Other specs for the two devices include 25W and 45W charging speeds, respectively. We’ve heard rumors that there will be 25W wall chargers in the box, while the Galaxy Note10+ can go all the up to 45W.
The Galaxy Note10 is going to come in black, white and red. The Galaxy Note10+ gets black, white and Crystal Gradient – that’s likely that gradient color we’ve seen in recent leaks. There are some new features coming too. Apparently the S-Pen will get new air gestures and sound. There will be a night mode for the front-facing camera, as well as live focus and audio zoom video capture.
These specs mostly line up with what we had seen already in recent leaks, which is good to see. Though it might be a bit surprising to see a 1080p display on a Galaxy Note, the regular version appears to be their “e” version of the lineup, something that Samsung has been doing over the past few months with the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy A10e, etc. This is going to allow more people to get into the Galaxy Note10 lineup, without having to pay an arm and a leg. Though, don’t expect it to be much cheaper than the $1000 that the Galaxy Note9 was last year.
Of course, the thing that we really wanted to know was how good the S-Pen is going to be in the Galaxy Note10. We’ve heard from Samsung reps already that it is going to be much improved from the previous model. Which got plenty of people excited. Last year, Samsung made some changes to the S-Pen for the first time in a few years. Making it into a remote, basically, for you to control your phone. It’ll be interesting to see what Samsung comes up with this year.
The Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ are slated to be announced on August 7 at Samsung’s Unpacked event in New York City. So we still have some time before the device is made official, and we’ll know everything there is to know, on August 7.
