UPDATE: Mr. Blass went to Twitter yet again to correct himself. He says that the info he shared earlier this day way not accurate, as he got some more accurate information after “speaking to two people with firsthand knowledge of US carrier stock”. It seems like the Snapdragon 855 will be used across the board in the US, which is not surprising considering that Samsung has been using Qualcomm’s flagship processors in the US for years now. Note that Mr. Blass said “Snapdragon 855”, not “Snapdragon 855 Plus”.
Evan Blass, a well-known tipster, just tweeted out something really interesting. According to the info he received, only Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Note 10 models will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, while models on other US carriers, and the rest of the world, will use the Exynos 9825.
Yes, he said the Snapdragon 855, not the Snapdragon 855 Plus, as many reports have been suggesting. The Snapdragon 855-powered Galaxy Note 10 did get benchmarked a while back, as it seems like Samsung will not utilize the Snapdragon 855 Plus in the Galaxy Note 10 series at all.
This is quite interesting, as Samsung was expected to utilize either the Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855 Plus in both the US and China, in general. If this information is to be believed, that will not be the case, as Samsung plans to take full advantage of its upcoming Exynos 9825 processor.
The Exynos 9825 will be an upgrade on the Exynos 9820 that arrived last year, though that chip hasn’t been officially announced just yet. We’ve seen it a number of times in rumors, and the chip was actually spotted on various benchmarking sites as well so it’s almost certainly coming in the near future. It only remains to be seen if Samsung will announce it prior to the Galaxy Note 10 launch, or will it be announced along with the Galaxy Note 10 series.
Speaking of which, the Galaxy Note 10 series will become official on August 7, which is probably when pre-orders for the phone will kick off. The phone will become available for purchase about two weeks after that, if rumors are anything to go by.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will be announced as part of the Galaxy Note 10 series, and both devices have been leaking intensively over the last couple of weeks. We have plenty of info on both devices at this point, ranging from their designs, to their specifications.
The Galaxy Note 10 series devices will actually look quite similar, almost identical, in fact. Both devices will be made out of metal and glass and both will include a curved display on the front. The back side of both devices will also be curved, and you’ll be able to find a vertically-aligned camera setup back there, on both phones.
The Galaxy Note 10+ will include an extra camera on the back, which will be placed next to the regular triple camera setup. We’re talking about a ToF camera, which will not be a part of the Galaxy Note 10. That will be the only visual difference between the two phones, in addition to the fact that the Galaxy Note 10 will be a larger device, due to a larger display.
The Galaxy Note 10 is rumored to include 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Note 10+ is said to ship with 12GB of RAM. Both phones will include 256GB of storage, according to rumors, though there’s a chance that Samsung ends up offering more than one storage variant of these two phones. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on both phones, with Samsung’s One UI skin, while you’ll get an S Pen with each of these two phones.
