In addition to announcing the regular Galaxy Note 10, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Note 10+ earlier today, a larger and more powerful variant of the Galaxy Note 10. Truth be said, these two phones are extremely similar, on both the inside and outside, but there are some spec differences between them, which is why we’re looking at each of them separately.
We already checked out the Galaxy Note 10’s spec sheet up close and personal, and it’s time to do the same with the Galaxy Note 10+. Before we get to specs, it is worth saying that there is only one visible difference on the outside worth noting, the Galaxy Note 10+ comes with an extra camera on the back, while it is also larger than the Galaxy Note 10, but the design is the same, nonetheless.
The Galaxy Note 10+ features a 6.8-inch QHD+ (3040 x 1440) Dynamic AMOLED display, which is curved. That display is protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 6, while it is HDR10+ certified. The display comes with a ppi of 498, and it is higher in resolution than the one on the regular Galaxy Note 10.
The phone comes in two processor variants, just like its sibling. A unit for Europe and India is fueled by the Exynos 9825, Samsung’s most powerful chip to date, while the variant for the US and China comes with the Snapdragon 855 out of the box. Both of those are 64-bit octa-core processors, and both are extremely powerful. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on this phone, and on top of it you’ll find Samsung’s custom software.
This smartphone packs in 12GB of LPDDR 4X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.0 flash storage, so it has more RAM than the regular model of the device, but it’s the same technology that Samsung used.
A 4,300mAh battery is included in the Galaxy Note 10+, and you can utilize 45W wired charging on this phone. Do note that while the phone supports 45W wired charging, it does not ship with a 45W charger, you’ll have to purchase that separately (will cost around $50 / €50 directly from Samsung).
Needless to say, this charging is a lot faster than 15W wired charging that was included in the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 series. The phone also supports wireless charging, and you’ll be able to utilize reverse wireless charging as well, or as Samsung calls it, Wireless PowerShare. We’re still not sure how fast reverse wireless charging is, if Samsung made any improvements or not, but the phone does support 15W wireless charging, with a compatible charger, of course.
On the back of this phone, you will find four cameras, three regular ones, and a DepthVision Camera (which seems to be Samsung’s name for a Time of Flight sensor). A 12-megapixel main camera is included here, and it comes with f/1.5-f/2.4 variable aperture, and a 77-degree lens. The other 12-megapixel camera sports a telephoto lens (45-degree one), which provides you with a 2x optical zoom (f/2.1 aperture).
The third camera is a 16-megapixel sensor, and this is the phone’s dedicated ultrawide angle camera (f/2.2 aperture), 123-degree lens. These three cameras are vertically-aligned on the back, while the DepthVision camera sits on their right side.
A 10-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, front flash via display) can be found on the phone’s front side. The phone comes with Bluetooth 5.0, it supports 4G LTE connectivity, while it is IP68 certified. An in-display fingerprint scanner is a part of the package as well, and we’re looking at an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner here.
A 3.5mm headphone jack is not included here, but the phone does come with stereo speakers (tuned by AKG), and support for Dolby Atmos audio. The Galaxy Note 10+ measures 162.3 x 77.2 x 7.9mm, while it weighs 196 grams.
UPDATE: Wireless charging info has been corrected.
