Samsung has basically confirmed “Superfast Charge” for the Galaxy Note 10. The company actually revealed that in one of its event descriptions, maybe not on purpose. Samsung usually hosts a “Galaxy First Look” event for its flagship models in New York, at its Samsung 837 location, and the “Superfast Charge” was confirmed in that event’s description, as the company is planning to hold that event for the Galaxy Note 10 series.
Now, fast charging is basically standard for flagship phones these days, so what’s the big deal here? Well, Samsung’s flagships did have fast charging thus far, technically, but that fast charging is actually slow compared to fast charging on other phones. The Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 smartphones ship with 15W wired charging, which not comparable with Huawei’s or OnePlus’ fast charging capabilities, as it’s considerably slower.
Well, the Galaxy Note 10 series is going to change that, we more or less knew that even before this confirmation came knocking. Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are said to support 45W fast charging (wired), though only the Galaxy Note 10+ is said to ship with a 45W charger. The Galaxy Note 10 will, allegedly include a 25W charger.
So, this “Superfast Charge” probably refers to the Galaxy Note 10’s fast charging, wired fast charging. Samsung is planning to boost wireless charging in the Galaxy Note 10 phones as well, though it remains to be seen if the “Superfast Charge” will be a brand for wireless charging as well, or only wired charging.
That being said, “Superfast Charge” is not the only thing mentioned by Samsung, the company also mentions “Intelligent Battery”, “Wireless PowerShare”, and the next-gen “S Pen”. We already know what to expect out of the Intelligent Battery and Wireless PowerShare, as those are not new features. The Intelligent Battery feature was released with the Galaxy S10 and it optimizes your battery life based on location and open apps.
Wireless PowerShare, on the other hand, is Samsung’s fancy name for reverse wireless charging, which allows you to use your device to charge other devices that support wireless charging.
Samsung is planning to announce two smartphones as part of its Galaxy Note 10 series, at least according to rumors and leaks. The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will become official on August 7, and both devices leaked in detail already.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will look almost identical. The Galaxy Note 10+ will be larger of the two phones, and the only difference in the design department will be visible on the back of the phone. The Galaxy Note 10+ will include four cameras on the back, while the Galaxy Note 10 will sport three. The Galaxy Note 10+ will sport a ToF (Time of Flight) camera, which will not be included in the regular model.
Both devices will sport a centered display camera hole, be made out of metal and glass, and both will feature extremely thin bezels. A curved display will also be a part of each phone, though they will be different in terms of size and resolution. You can also expect to get an in-display fingerprint scanner inside of both of these phones, and so on.
