OnePlus 8T Launch Date Confirmed, Along With 8GB RAM Variant

The OnePlus 8T launch date has just been confirmed. This confirmation comes from Amazon India, and it says that the phone will become official on October 14. That is the date that has been tipped recently.

The company is running a OnePlus 8T quiz on its Amazon India landing page. That landing page actually reveals the launch date for the device. If you take a look into the terms and conditions subpage, you’ll notice that the said date is mentioned.

The OnePlus 8T launch date got confirmed alongside an 8GB variant of the device

It is listed as the last date to participate in the event, and it’s almost certainly the launch date of the device. It is also mentioned here that an 8GB variant of the phone will be coming. That could be just one variant of the device, though.

OnePlus will probably opt to offer a 12GB RAM model as well. The OnePlus 8T Pro is not expected to arrive, according to Max J. Guides for the OnePlus 8T Pro did appear on the company’s website, though, so… we’ll see.

The OnePlus 8T’s existence was confirmed by OnePlus quite recently. The company not only confirmed that the phone is coming, and launched its landing page, but it also released an ad starring Robert Downey Jr.

The OnePlus 8T will be the third flagship smartphone the company will release this year. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro launched earlier this year, and the OnePlus 8T is coming next month, it seems.

More OnePlus products may launch during that event

The OnePlus 8T may arrive alongside a new pair of earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Z. That will be a cheaper counterpart to the OnePlus Buds, which launched earlier this year.

The company’s very own power bank has been rumored as well. The OnePlus 8T is also not the last smartphone OnePlus is expected to announce in 2020.

Two smartphones with Snapdragon 600 series SoCs were rumored, as well as a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC. All of those phones are expected to launch in 2020.

The OnePlus 8T will be made out of metal and glass. It will resemble its siblings a bit, but it will sport a flat display. Its camera module will also look a bit different, and it will sit in a different spot on the back of the device.

This smartphone will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, fast charging, and it will ship with Android 11 out of the box. OnePlus’ OxygenOS 11 skin will come pre-installed on it.

A large display will be a part of the package, and it will be a fullHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This will be an AMOLED display, by the way. The phone is expected to arrive in both 128GB and 256GB storage variants.

We’re still not sure if wireless charging will be included, the same goes for water and dust resistance. Four cameras will be placed on the back, and a 4,500mAh battery will be included on the inside. Check out our OnePlus 8T preview for more information.
