Nothing Phone (2) specs & launch timeline tipped

Nothing recently confirmed that its next handset, the Nothing Phone (2), will be coming to the US. Well, now a tipster shared some information about the Nothing Phone (2), including some of its specs, and a launch timeline.

This report actually comes from MySmartPrice, who claims that the info is provided by a “reputed tipster”. The publication did not share what tipster it is, however, so keep that in mind.

The Nothing Phone (2) specs and launch timeline shared by a “reputed tipster”

Now, the Nothing Phone (2) will, allegedly, come with a model number ‘A065’. It is expected to launch in the third quarter of this year. That does make sense, as the Nothing Phone (1) launched in July last year.

What about its specs, though? Well, Nothing and Carl Pei (founder) already confirmed that the next model will be “more premium” than the first one. That is a rather vague statement, but it could mean, at least partially, that it will offer higher-end specs.

The source claims that the Nothing Phone (2) will include a yet-unannounced Snapdragon 8 series chip. The only chip that fits the bill is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 which is expected to launch later this year.

A 120Hz display is expected, along with 12GB of RAM

The tipster also mentioned that it will offer 12GB of RAM, though it will also support virtual RAM. Nothing plans to include 256GB of storage on the inside, while a 5,000mAh battery is also mentioned by the source.

The device will include an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That refresh rate will be adaptive, as this phone is tipped to include an LTPO display. That’s basically all the info that was shared.

We’ll probably see plenty of rumors and leaks such as this one, in the coming months. The Nothing Phone (1) managed to grab a lot of attention, and we’re expecting the same to happen with the second-gen model.
