Basically every single flagship smartphone is rather large nowadays and Sony wanted to change that when they launched Sony Xperia Z1 Compact in January 2014. Sony decided to skip the Xperia Z2 Compact and go straight for the Z3 Compact to go with the company's Xperia Z3 flagship. Xperia Z3 Compact keeps most of Xperia Z3's specifications, with the exception of screen size and resolution, RAM count, storage options and battery size. This device still packs plenty of power and can be considered a high-end, top of the line smartphone. Great processor, water and dust resistance and a great camera are just some of this device's positive sides.
Xperia Z3 Compact comes with a 4.6-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD Triluminous display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). This device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU. On the back of the device you can find a 20.7-megapixel camera and a LED flash while there's a 2.2-megapixel shooter on the front of this device. Z3 Compact sports a 2600mAh battery which should be able to get you through the day and Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes out of the box with Sony's UI on top of it. The device measures 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6mm while it weighs 152 grams.

Xperia Z3 Compact is unique, this device is a flagship device and yet it's relatively compact. Basically every flagship device you stumble upon nowadays is rather big, with screens going over 5-inches in most cases that can be a problem for some people. Not everyone like a big phone and yet want all the specs and power of the flagship device, this is where Xperia Z3 Compact comes in. The device offers everything you might want out of a flagship device and if you really like the Z3 but you feel it's too big for your needs, you might want to consider getting the Z3 Compact instead. As long as you like the design of the phone and Sony's UI, this is a great device and will be for quite some time.
