Featured: Top 10 Android News Stories October 25th

Quite a few things worth mentioning happened this past week, and if you missed out on the details we’ll be rounding up what you need to know here. Perhaps the biggest thing was the announcement of HTC’s new device, the upcoming HTC One A9, meant to take the world by storm as a device with mid-range hardware, but premium build quality with top-tier software experiences. HTC also stated this past week that they plan to release an ecosystem of health and fitness products early next year. When it comes to new devices, the BlackBerry PRIV has already been announced officially but just this week, the pre-orders began for U.S. consumers looking to grab the device.

Although it still hasn’t launched, screenshots of the Android version of Apple Music reportedly surfaced in just the past couple of days. There was also some more leaked images of the DROID Turbo 2 and DROID Maxx 2 which showed up this past week, two devices which are expected to show up at the Verizon Wireless event on Tuesday. Not too long ago a teaser image showed up of an upcoming visual refresh of the Play Store, and just this past week the visual changes started to roll out to users. If you’re not in the market for a new phone but are interested in a new Android Wear smartwatch, Fossil finally launched their device called the ‘Q Founder,’ a $275 option for those who want something stylish yet a little less costly than something like the new Moto 360 or Huawei Watch.
