As the end of the year gets closer, Marshmallow is reaching the point of having launched a few months back, and as such OEMs are starting to get closer to a software update release for some of their devices. The Moto X Style for example, started getting updated to Marshmallow this past week, and Motorola started the soak test for the DROID Turbo 2 this past week as well. As for the rest of Motorola’s devices, they’ve recently updated the list of which devices are slated to get the update.
Not too long ago it was discovered that family plans were coming for Play Music and Play Store purchases, and those family groups are now officially available as they went live this past week. Also launched this past week was Microsoft’s Cortana assistant, which finally left beta only access and is now available to anyone on the Play Store in the US and China. Google Wallet also recently received an update which now lets users send money to others by phone number instead of just email.
