Motorola Launches Moto E7 With A 48MP Main Camera For Under $150

Motorola has just announced a new low-cost smartphone under the E-series lineup. The new Moto E7 is a trimmed down variant of the recently launched Moto E7 Plus. It comes with a polycarbonate body and will be available in Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Satin Coral color options. In terms of design, the Moto E7 even looks similar to its elder sibling and sports the same 48MP dual camera setup.

On the front, it sports a waterdrop notch display. The square camera module on the rear features a dual-camera setup and an LED flash. First off, it runs on Android 10 out of the box. Unlike the other affordable Android smartphones, the Moto E7 will offer a clean and ad-free UI.

All-new Moto E7 goes official with Helio G25 SoC & 48MP camera

The 6.5-inch IPS LCD display on this device offers HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. While the Moto E7 Plus comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Lenovo-owned company has launched this new device with a MediaTek chipset.

It features a MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and comes coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device packs 2GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 512GB.

It comes with a USB Type-C port for charging

Talking about the optics, the Moto E7 sports dual rear cameras featuring a 48MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 5MP camera on the front. In Europe, the device will be launching with dual SIM card slots. Moreover, the circular fingerprint scanner on the rear is neatly embedded into the Moto dimple.

Notably, the Moto E7 comes with a 4,000mAh battery and supports 10W power input. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Unlike the Plus moniker, the dedicated Google Assistant button on the Moto E7 is placed on the left edge.

Whereas the power button and volume rocker can be found on the right edge. The other visual difference on this device is the placement of the loudspeaker on the rear panel. In Europe, the Moto E7 with 2GB of RAM will retail for €119.99 (approx. $142).

The company also confirmed to soon launch this new low-cost smartphone in select markets across Latin America, the Middle East & Asia. As of now, Motorola hasn’t confirmed the availability of this newly launched smartphone for the North American markets.
