Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Information:

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was officially announced by Samsung on May 30th 2013, and was later released for multiple carriers in the U.S. in November of 2013, while being made available for European markets beginning June 29th of 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini like many Mini devices is a smaller variant of the larger flagship, with nearly the same specs just wrapped up in a smaller package. While the flagship Galaxy S4 still had slightly better hardware, it also came with a larger display which some people don't care for. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini came with a 4.3-inch screen, mostly the same body makeup and design, and the same version of software that came onboard the Galaxy S4. It did come with a lower quality camera however, and that is where you can begin to see the difference.

For specs, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini carries a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 540 x 960 pixel resolution and 256 ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Around the back it has an 8MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash, and on the front it carries a 1.9MP camera. On the inside it houses a Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 Dual-Core processor clocked at 1.7GHz with an Adreno 305 GPU running the graphics. It has 8GB of internal storage with 1.5GB of RAM, and expandable storage of up to 64GB via the microSD card slot. It supports 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE networks, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, Dual-Band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, and Infrared port. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and is upgradable to Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat, and is powered by a 1900mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Editor Rating:

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a great device for people wanting decent hardware in a smaller package. It's still powerful enough to perform tasks and functions for the average user and was even upgraded to Kit Kat which makes the software mostly up to date. With it's dual core processor and Adreno GPU, even moderate gaming can be enjoyable on the device, and since it comes with slightly less powerful specs it comes with a lower price point as well.
