Xiaomi Hongmi Redmi Note Information:

Xiaomi is becoming a really big name in the mobile world, not that they're not already. They make really appealing device at affordable prices and Redmi Hongmi Note is just that, no matter if we talk about 3G or 4G variant of this device though the difference between the two is significant. These devices sport different processors and the 4G variant has double the RAM and supports SD cards with more storage on them. Let's see what they have to offer.

Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display along with 1 or 2GB of RAM (depending on the version, we reviewed the 2GB version, 3G version comes with 1GB of RAM) and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB, 64GB in the LTE variant). The 3G variant is powered by MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core processor which comes with Mali-450MP4 GPU for graphics processing. On the other hand, the 4G variant comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU. On the back of this device (both variants) you can find a 13-megapixel camera flanked by a LED flash while there's a 5-megapixel shooter located up front. 3200mAh battery is built-in and ready to go and both of them ship with Android 4.2 JellyBean out of the box with Xiaomi's very own MIUI OS on top of it.

Both of these devices are quite appealing if you're looking for something in the mid-range category. The 4G variant brings you more RAM and a more mainstream processor though, so keep that in mind. It is definitely a more powerful of the two though as I said, these are both really capable devices and if you're looking for a mid-range handset you should definitely take a look at these. You might save some cash and get an equally capable (or even more capable) device than something that is significantly more expensive than these offerings by Xiaomi.
