Nexus day has came and went, and we finally got to learn about all of the Nexus devices that we had been waiting on for so long. After all the rumors, the devices seem to have panned out when it comes to specs and hardware. Today we saw and learned a little bit about the Google Nexus 6 and the Google Nexus 9 made by Motorola and HTC respectively. Both devices are offering up some great hardware specs, and in addition to the premium hardware Google is bringing these phones to market with a premium price, something that we aren’t too familiar with when it comes to a Nexus device of any sort. Let’s not forget about the original Nexus One though, which cost quite a pretty penny itself when it was launched.
Whether you love or hate the new Nexus 6 and Nexus and their respective costs, Google has certainly outdone themselves here with both devices. Alongside the Nexus 6 and nexus 9 announcements, we also saw the announcement of the Nexus player, Google’s first Android TV device that will attempt to take over our living rooms. There was lots of information that came out of today’s announcements, from the devices themselves to the OS version they’ll be running on which also got it’s official announcement today known as Android 5.0 Lollipop. We also got word of a few different OEMs that are planning a strong commitment to upgrading their devices to Android 5.0 in the coming months. Just in case you missed anything from all the stuff that hit the web today, here’s a nice little wrap-up with everything.
