Oppo N3

Oppo N3 Information:

Oppo N3 is a successor to the rather well-known Oppo N1 phablet. This Chinese manufacturer didn't say why they skipped over the N2 branding though. The first thing you'll notice when you look at the device is that huge rotating camera on the top of the device. It can rotate up to 206-degrees and it serves as both your rear and your front-facing shooter. It's a 16-megapixel camera by the way and it also packs some interesting software solutions by Oppo, not to mention it's motorized and it automatically rotates. That being said, the device has a steel frame and a really solid build quality while a fingerprint scanner is also included here, it's located at the back of the device. Let's check out Oppo N3's specifications and see what this device has to offer.

Oppo N3 features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080, 403ppi) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AA) quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz which comes with an Adreno 330 GPU for graphics processing. As I already mentioned there's a 16-megapixel 206-degree rotating camera with OV16825 sensor and f2.2 aperture (dual-LED flash included) on the top of the device. The device features VOOC rapid charging which brings the phone from 0% to 75% charge in just half an hour, 3000mAh battery comes with the device by the way. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Oppo's ColorOS 2.0 on top of it. The handset measures 161.2 x 77 x 9.9mm and weighs 192 grams.

Oppo N3 Editor Rating:

Oppo N3 is quite an upgrade to the Oppo N1, even though it keeps the general form factor intact. This handset is very well built and if a rotating camera is something that interests you, perhaps you should consider getting the N3. Keep in mind that this is a really pricey handset though. You do get a lot packed into this piece of technology though, I'd argue there are far better choices for that amount of money. I do believe Oppo could do better here, I really do, but Oppo N3 is still a good offering by this Chinese manufacturer which brings forth premium build and unique features with it.
