MWC 2016 Day 5 Roundup: HTC's One X9, Haier Smartwatch & More

Today was the final day of Mobile World Congress and while many people left a day early, we stayed until the bitter end. We saw some more news coming out surrounding the Xiaomi Mi 5 which was announced this week (including a teardown of the device and showing us what is actually inside the new sub $400 smartphone), as well as more news on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge which were also announced this week and went up for pre-order on Tuesday. We got an official statement from Sony about the company retiring the Xperia Z series, essentially replacing it with the Xperia X series of smartphones. Not to mention we were able to get hands-on with a slew of smartwatches and smartphones today, including HTC’s newly announced One X9, the Haier Smartwatch, and the Saygus V-Squared to name just a few.

It’s been a pretty busy Mobile World Congress this year, even with HTC deciding not to announce their flagship HTC One M10 at the show  – although they did release some teasers during the show for their upcoming device. We walked away from Barcelona with 3 flagship announcements and a slew of other smartphones and devices being announced.
