MWC Roundup Day 4: Xiaomi's Mi 5, Sony's Xperia X Line & More

Day four in Barcelona was actually a pretty packed day. We still got a few announcements, including a big one from Xiaomi, who unveiled their Mi 5 in Barcelona. Making it their first announcement in Europe. No word on the device heading west, but it’s a great looking smartphone from Xiaomi, and as always it’s real cheap with a huge 3,000 mAh battery. We’ve got all the details of the Xiaomi event in today’s round up for you.

Today wasn’t just about Xiaomi though. We learned that the Xperia Z series is going away, effectively being replaced by their Xperia X series which the company announced earlier this week. We also learned from OnePlus’ co-founder Carl Pei, that the OnePlus 3 will be available in June, as well as the fact that LG won’t be in the mix this year for the Nexus devices. As they want to focus on their own brand this year – this came after news of analysts expecting the company to ship 10 million G5 smartphones in 2016.

All that and more in today’s round up from Barcelona!
