IFA 2015 Day One Roundup: All You Need To Know

IFA’s first day kicked off in Berlin, Germany earlier this morning, and after the first day much of the big news about upcoming new products has been laid out in the open for everyone to consume. We’ve seen announcements from many of the top brands in mobile unveil what they have coming for the Fall season which includes smartphones, smartwatches, and of course tablets, all of which should be launching either next month or the month after.

Both ASUS and Motorola announced new smartwatches today, ASUS with their second generation ZenWatch called the ZenWatch 2, and Motorola with their all new Moto 360. Neither are huge departures from the previous models in terms of design although they do have some slight visual updates, but that’s a good thing if you liked the style of the first gen models. The specs and features however have been updated quite a bit to reflect the more modern hardware. When it comes to big announcements, another thing that was expected were the new flagship devices from Sony, and earlier today they announced just what everyone was hoping for with the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and the Xperia Z5 Premium which is being touted by Sony as the world’s first smartphone with a 4K display. Acer also announced new mobile devices like the Predator series smartphone and tablet, as well as a new Chromebook and a couple of new low-end smartphones in the Liquid lineup. There were also a couple of smartphones announced by Lenovo, and various other products from Huawei, and Sony. If you’ve missed anything, you can find a roundup of everything down below.
